November is slinking out this year cold damp a gritty cold a penetrating damp the kind of weather that must given rise to the blues. A nagging sense of aint nothing gonna be any better, ever, aint got nowhere to go but down. Down so low that not even the grave’s gonna break your fall made all the worse by memories of the dizzying heights, as memory makes it, from which you fell. November, damp, dark, and dirty stripped to the bare bark, gritty growly blue November’ll do that to you every time.

Hello John,

Very dreary November poem - so vividly gloomy. I was born in November 17th but our November months here are brisk and sunny, full of excitement because it is the month before Christmas and the month when bonuses and cash incentives pour out on the paychecks, so it is the most hectci month for SHOPPING. What a stark contrast from the other side of the globe, on the same time frame!
