Justice was denied her and she could not bear the pain. Something had to be done.

The Game...

Death was the only winner that night
Two and two faced off
Lone woman with men

Each with following
A few, stood silent
Bets quickly,
Surreptitiously laid

Raucous laughter came ---
Died quick on nervous lips.

Cards thrown to the floor
Chips scattered,
Table upturned
Chairs thrown back

Anguish cry
Traitor, scoundrel
Words once said,
Destroy what was--
Forever.

Magnum point44 deafens,
Bowey blade flashes
Three dead, one standing

Chest heaving
Eyes wild
Searching the crowd

Words whispered
They killed her
It begins
Death the only winner that night. © hjv

Caught in the Act by Paul Lonardo

"We walked in on a surreal scene. There are few words, if any, to accurately describe the abject horror..." What Jeannie and Kevin McDonough saw was a wanted, multi-state serial killer about to take his next victim - their own daughter. W
