I know that the stars still shine
and glimmer up high behind
the grey clouds that cover night skies.
I know that there is a song in the
soft and gentle falling of the rain
that soothes this troubled heart and soul
through the wee hours of this day’s morn’.
I hear the sigh of Mother Earth as each
drop of rain falls to her breast and
soothes her need for sustenance to
keep her alive and so beautiful to our sight.
I know too, that all clouds will soon pass,
and sunshine and joy will return to a spirit
that has been lost in the dark season
of heart’s sorrow and trials.
I sense that with each lesson learned,
though not clear at this moment,
will come priceless and shining
new wisdom, filled with the radiance
of spiritual gold, gleaming and translucent,
reflecting the light of spirit and resplendent
in this heart’s desire to know love.
