The crone, the agèd wise woman|
sits here now, in the midst of her life
to examine in Truth
all of the lessons learned
in the silence of her sorrow and suffering.

Her middle years have come into view,
and when the rich beauty of emotion
becomes so much more
familiar, it becomes an ally to her
tired and enlightened soul...
The path laid out ahead of the suffering
and after the darkness,
is one scattered with peace,
understanding and strength.

Standing taller now, in the
knowledge and light of one
who has shared with Him
the sorrow of His cross.
Praise be the light that
lifts me up ~
Hallelujah and blessèd is
the Grace which continues
to sustain me...
For my flesh and sin cause weakness in the midst of all trials.

But, after all is said and done;
when darkness and day merge
and become one and the same,
I will still smile...
at the end of every tunnel;
the beginning of each new road;
through every single trial -
I will still smile.
