Oh wow, this is a keeper. I have always said that a great poem should have an impactful last line and this is such a good example. I loved the 'feel' of the entire poem but that line did it for me.

The last stanza summarizes love so beautifully, Brittany. Once love has touched the heart, we often lose sight of how we once coped, should we ever find ourselves cast aside from it. I speak from experience!

Great use of symbolism--"solar skin" and "protection comes in thinmbles" really stick out to me and are very descriptive in such small phrases. J.
