Embitterment from dreams gone cold. Hopes so fragile peak, then agile. Bets lost on dice rolled. Caps once adorned by a feather collect dust. A heart rusts; well, but under weather. Smiles: custom deviation. Paranoia strikes normal psyche. Suffocate in isolation. Manners said; done robotically. Earnest feign. Shoot, no aim. Life's monogamy. Hope only once, but the dreamers live in lies, excuses ply. Ceaseless schemers.

You've touched on the subject of dreaming for a better life well, here. I can see a bit of myself in these lines and hopefully others with dreams can do the same. J.
