When in prayer I used to believe
that if I ask, God will give accordingly
if only it was something I did need.
My prayers weren't said faithfully.

Within our faith lies our true prayer
where our desires are enflamed.
All I did was want without faith
and for this all I am ashamed.

How could I not see it before me
that in these Words I now see the simplicity.
Measure of our faith is the measure of His giving
and in each prayer, we receive heavenly felicity.

Each 'Our Father' plays the perfect strings
for which God requested to hear.
So whilst in prayer our faith is measured
and what desires we hold dear.

If we so wished to move the mountains
Jesus said it was within our grasp.
But with all the things we want
it is our faith that must burn and last.

A neverending candle's wick for life
it must burn when hard times come.
When thrown to your knees in shame;
on your knees is best to pray to the One.

Hesitation of your faith in Him
may cause His mercy to pause and wait.
Could you walk, blindfolded, through hot flames
to only realise you walked through Heaven's Gate?

We needn't pray for hours long
for our Father knows before we seek assistance.
Best way for our prayers to be answered
is not through hypocritic persistance.

Through your faith you may pray
and with it you may pay for your desires.
If God promised you Heaven's grounds
would you walk through flames and fire?
