Poem Artwork

 I could love you,
If I thought you felt the same.
I could love you,
With never a feeling of shame.
I could love you,
Forever through the veil of eternity.
I could love you,
If only I thought that you could love me.
I could love you,
Unfettered by any foolish pride.
I could love you,
If it was not something I felt I must hide.
I could love you,
With a depth you can never fully know.
I could love you,
But it is not my place to show.
So I won't love you,
I'll tell my self this is true .
I won't love you,
And I say that now to you...

I tried to tell that to my ex wife. I guess my idea of love is different from hers. I love her still and I always will. You just "validated" my sentiments with your verses. Thank you, my friend. Love and peace,

Regis

This is beautiful, you must share this with your love. If it isn't to be, at least you will know you didn't miss out on the love of your life. Thank you for sharing. Carin'
