I'm Not in Love...

Because I saw your face
In my mind, at our place
Wet kisses, soft embrace
Emotions felt deep that night
Passion soared, naked in light
Made love to you and it felt right
I'm not in love cause I dream of you
Just enjoy the memories when I do
Can’t deny you feel the sparks too
You are so very far away from me
We can never be forever you see
Just a sliver of love lost at sea...

This is so beautifully put...and very poignant...Those delicious slivers of love are rarely forgotten, and become significant markers on our journey...

Hugs, Diana..

"I'm not in love cause I dream of you" I just adore this line
and also how it feels so free & so utterly true
...and we are
...and we are not
...and we are...

I relate too well here.
Except maybe I do call it being in love.
I'll ponder that.

WELL DONE. SWEET AND BITTER, REAL AND DREAMY...ALL THOSE SPECIAL LITTLE THINGS THAT GO INTO DESCRIBING SHIPS...THAT PASS IN THE NIGHT. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...

Like two ships passing in the night. It does not matter that you are not in love, Chessly. You are loved! That is because you are such a nice gentle lady.

Chessly - A heartfelt poem....."we can never be forever you see." You say it in your title. Beautifully expressed.

Ah, but the memories I am here to tell you, sweet Chessly, last forever and one day. We all have them, and we may be happily married, but these memories come to us and that is when our spouses say to us, "What are you smiling to yourself for, Dear?"

It also reminds me of 10CC, but you're way to young to know of them.
I can 100% relate to this poem, almost biopic.
Top work!
