I carried
its warmth
illuminating the path we trod;
your flame warming my face
I your Dancing Nymph
you my Golden Prince
sequestering
Time in a Bottle
Fear and Negativity Throttled
But nymphs can dance
only so long
in the dark green forest
and princes
at some point
have realms to rule
and lights
sometimes dim from lack of fuel
can become charcoal
we then
felt the Torch more than the Light
moths dying in the flame
habit began to rule,
faces soured
But you
and I
secretly carried in leaden jar
embers from our light
never gave up
light dueling the night
light struggling with torch and flame
and we used it to heal you
on that hospital bed
when detached from
grimy groping
career seeking
meaninglessness
it became clear
in the end there is
only you and I
and those who care.
So gentle embers
swelled again
to flame
lit
as only they can only be
by the Human
Heart.
Your heart valves
unstuck
unclogged up
surged
that day with blood
the doctors said
they don't know how
or what healed you
but I do.
Fascinating for the words & phrases; the format style; also for the story of a miracle; especially interesting for me, with my mechanical valve.
