** My Haiku, written after Basho's Haiku **

From time to time
The clouds give rest
To the moon beholders (Basho)
-----------------------------------------------------
Moon beholders see
What true beauty is
And loneliness

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Dewdrop, let me cleanse
In your brief, sweet waters
These dark hands of life (Basho)
------------------------------------------------------
These dark hands of my life
I cleansed in dewdrops from my eyes
To hold your rose face

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Seas are wild tonight,
Stretching over Sado Island,
Silent clouds of stars (Basho)
--------------------------------------------------------
Silent clouds of stars
Twinkling, raining, your memories
Over lonesome island, my heart

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Won’t you come and see
Loneliness?
Just one leaf on the kiri tree (Basho)
---------------------------------------------------------
Just one leaf on the kiri tree
And if you still can’t see loneliness
Come and see me

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

** Strange Story **

Behind the door of heart
Wait is awake
Still restless for you
Love is awake

War-Drum-Beats might resonate
At some dark moment in night
Horse-tramping went to sleep
Rider is awake

Has anyone ever found
Outcomes, while awake?!
Carrying huge dream-bags
Someone vainly is awake

There is no claim of any
Relation between you and me
But, of very old stories
A promise is awake

In such a strange story
I’m written, in which,
Neither any character awakes
Nor creator is awake

** Three Liners **

Memories, sadness, loneliness
Life, continuous, as if
Ignominy of a prostitute
----------
Whole body motionless
Thoughts so vagrant
Soul so restless
----------
Hair spread vaguely
Season monsoon
Eyes singing rain-songs
----------
Lonely evening
Everywhere
Silence screaming
----------
All roads closed
Life, as if
Faulty newspaper puzzle
----------
Home not safe
Where to go outside
Enemy whole city
----------
Like its taste
In its depth too
Every tear an ocean
----------
Spread in the airs
In the season of smiles
Fragrance of tears

. . .
These words still touch my heart as deeply as when I first read them. You are an artist, dear friend, with a gift for words that resonate in my soul.

Wow...your style is indicative of a poet, my friend. You are excellent in writing. This is very well written and it captures the senses very well. Thanks for sharing this.

Oh, this is good. Poem is awake, while poet is sleeping. But isn't that how the best ones are written? Muse is awake. Reader is dreaming. --Charlie
