As the man stood up, there was silence all around
As everyone awaited his glorious sound
Upon his shoulder he placed the strap
To his instrument of music he so loved to tap
He strummed the strings as he looked to the skies
While all that were watching saw the love in his eyes
He sang of God’s power, His mercy and His Love
Knowing all the while he was sent from God above
The words that he sings strikes a home in our hearts
Thankful each day of our lives he is a part
The man closes his eyes as the music flows out
Moving some people to stand up and shout
The man’s God sent music lives in us all
He tells us God’s love is nothing to small
He sings of a home on the other side
He sings of his joy with a great sense of pride
He will sing till his death for all to hear
Telling how God loves us all so dear
His music will live on even after his death
For God will be there when we draw our last breath
The music you give us; such a God sent gift
Knowing all the while that our hearts need a lift
You answer our prayers in so many ways
It’s I love you and thank you that we all want to say.
