An original poem.

the strings of a lyre in a museum

caused me to think. there are far fewer truths

than once before. in this masoleum

the sound vibrates and the forgotten ruth-

less religion resonates with laughter.

no symphonies, only simple chords struck

with meaning to be found only after

the lyric is read. but with any luck

this silent message will find a place where

any person can see it. a secret

bond between the gods and men is present

in the strings, four ways to displace regret

and the elements in turn represent

harmony. behind glass the strings are bare.
