Crowds gather from far and wide
to watch the race, experience the ride

Drivers primed rearing to go
win or lose, it's on with the show
 

Flag goes down, the race is on
off the start, adrenalized and gone

Through the gorge, hairpin bend
one false move, the race could end

Down a hill, momemtum gathers
hard to the chase, it's open slather

Along the straight watching the rear
crusing along, kick into top gear

Endurance test, is come this race
no novices here, no not the place

In this for the longest haul
eyes peeled, beat them all

Changing gears, up and down
nearly home, kick it and go to town..

Some crashed and burned along the way
was it luck or did they know not how to play

On the homestraight, flagman hails
once more top gear, the prize the prize...

She wails!
