I was at Millesgarden,
Winter snow, nothing growing,
Not much of the Swedish on me
except Thank you and Hello, Hello
Winging it in Sweden
on the shores of Lake Mälaren
I believe in angels
I see them flying above Millesgarden.
Stockholm's Old Town
On the doorsteps, Christmas candles
A smorgasbord in Gamla Stan
And where's the harm in that?
Poseidon looks over Lake Mälaren
I will be strong like the eagle
and fly back home to Loch Lomond,
Mull, Edinburgh Castle.
There's always a new adventure
for a lad of parts, Agnetha in braids
Agnetha in plaid, I'll always thank you
for the music from my Highland heart.
Agnetha i Pläd
Jag var på Millesgarden,
Vintersnö, ingenting växer,
Inte mycket av det svenska på mig
förutom Tack och Hej, Hej
Vinge den i Sverige
vid Mälarens strand
Jag tror på änglar
Jag ser dem flyga ovanför Millesgarden.
Stockholms Gamla stan
På tröskeln, julljus
Ett smörgåsbord i Gamla Stan
Och var är skadan i det?
Poseidon blickar över Mälaren
Jag kommer att vara stark som örnen
och flyga hem till Loch Lomond,
Mull, Edinburgh Castle.
Det kommer alltid ett nytt äventyr
för en pojke av delar, Agnetha i flätor
Agnetha i pläd, jag kommer alltid att tacka dig
för musiken från mitt Highland-hjärta.
Having had two Swedish beauties in my ancient history making their way in the USA, I think I understand your understanding of the transplant from Scotland to Sweden or vice verse. I'm having trouble trying to figure out which.
Dear readers, this is my third book of poems, and inside are a special collection of what have turned out to be not only MY personal favorites, but also the favorites of many of YOU. Some of these have never been available in print before...
