I tried to walk the straight and narrow,

But it broke me right down to my marrow.

You had me,

Walking the line of love,

But between these fast cars, and this slow life,

I got lost.

Entangled in lies and deception,

I just need to mention,

Your's was the bed I still slept in.

Please, can't you see, I just need to be free!

But when does freedom lose its hand to greed?

This is my plea, the last of my scars of love,

Why can't the Big Guy just take me high up above?

Let me fly with the doves, immaculate my blood,

But it seems these prayers end up just a dud,

I won't pluck hairs! I just want the general scope,

Here, I give you my last bead of hope,

For your attention, from that ear to there,

Oh! It seems I've been here before,

But I don't know why....

...On my knees I let out this sigh,
