The dreaded phone call in the middle of the night. The news cannot be good. Should the phone be answered or not?
It was 2 am When the telephone rang Shattering the quiet of the night A million thoughts ran through my mind all producing fright Who could it be? What could have happened? Did I even want to know? I reached for the phone My heart ready to burst As a trembling voice said "hello." "What happened?" I asked "Is everything alright?" The voice answered "No" I couldn't bear to hear the report My mind raced to and fro I said a barely audible goodbye and hung up the telephone. Velyn Cooper December 6th 2004

I once had a call in the middle of the night from a TELEMARKETER. Poor man really got a piece of my mind for scaring me half to death. Phones ringing at 2 am are never good news. You said it well.
