My Soul is Alive, it is enough!
The Fragile Self Series from The Tao of the Quantum Self

Poem Artwork

To die to another

Is a Death of the Heart

To die to Oneself

Is a Death of the Soul

To know One’s own Truth

But sacrifice it

For the opinions of others

Is to imprison Oneself

In a Living Death

It is said

“Right Action, Right Reward”

But if Action be for reward

The rightness is surely diminished

If Action be reward in itself

Surely then, the doing is enough

If Belief in One’s self

Is all that remains

Even this will be as it needs to be

The Warrior within

Holding fast

Standing true

Man’s judgement of us

Must never be fiercer

Than our own conviction

To stay the course

Of the Truth within us

To Be as we see our Being to be

Not as it is reflected

In the perceptions of others

Who are their own truth not ours

I am not that

Which others expect me to be

For their own needs

I am not that

Which others see me to be

From their own experiences

Nor am I that

Which my journey might have created

I am this Now

This moment of Me

Forged by the fire of pain and loss

Phoenix rising

Look not at the ashes

I dwell not there

Look into the flame and see

I waiver but am unbroken

I am as I am meant to be

My Truth

My Vibration

My Purpose

My heart is dying

But

My Soul is alive

It is enough

For now

Karma Bank to Following By Listening by Chiemi

These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
