LONG THE ROAD WINDS
Long the road winds
Through the way stations of my life
Places of learning
Strengthening
Rest
Some
I would not recommend
If you can avoid
As stopping off places
But then
Who knows what lessons there
For others as for me
So I will not count them wrong
These rubbled paths
I went so freely down
Will not regret the choices made
Though detours they might seem
The Me that I am now
Is strengthened by the trials
As much as inspired
By the hopes
Perhaps a wiser person
I became through pain and sorrow
More given to understanding
Paths others may take or have
For having chosen of the same
Or similar
In my rashness or my youth
Decisions
Made from the not knowing
That I am worth much more
To Light Source and Universe
I simply could not see
The worth the value and the love
That is the truth of self
The hard lessons I have chosen
Might not needed to have been
Had I had chosen different paths
But this me is Me
So no regret no guilt no blame
I honour all I choose
For in the discovering
Of roads less travelled
Of bumps and potholes
Is the finding of Me
I will forgive my choices
By knowing
There is nothing to forgive
The moment is right
The journey revealed
My choices have bought me
To the knowledge of Me
They are perfection
In the teaching of self
For the Remembering
I am strong
I am complete
I am Me
It is enough
