The way of Bushido teaches that in having no fear of Death, one is able to more fully Live!

Is not the fear
That which attracts
The feared
And if in facing fear
A friend we make of foe
Nothing to attract
Then can there be

SEPPUKU

Some say

To think of Death

With such calm interest

And preparation

For the coming

Of this supposed foe

Is surely to hasten

It's untimely

And unnecessary arrival

Bringing upon ourselves

That which we

In warrior garb

Would seek to conquer

Or avoid

And yet

Is not the fear

That which attracts

The feared

And if in facing fear

A friend we make of foe

Nothing to attract

Then can there be

And we

The conqueror

Of that

Which would have us fear

The very mention of its name

By reasoned discourse

And conscious self-empowering

We

Disarm this enemy to victory

By judging it unworthy of our notice

Upon the battle field of Life

For having not a fear of dying

Draw to ourselves

All that protects

Maintains and

Nurtures

Living

And knowing

In the already dying

To all

That has no eternal journey

And living

Only for the joy of Being

We are already dead

To that

Which harms defeats destroys

And live

An eternity of dying

Upon this terrestrial plane

That we may

In this dying

Forever live

As Consciousness

Remembering

Light and Truth

Self

Beyond this Now

Where Death is but a journey

Is neither friend nor foe

Quite simply a transition

From Here and Now

To There

So wonder I

What purpose served

Why hesitate discourage

Criticize fear

Death and its preparation

The willingness to die

Affords a greater living

And I

Whilst choosing Life

Most willingly

Discard all fear of death

To simply

BE

A message for this moments time.

Driven by denial not some but most,
fear becomes their holly ghosts.

Thanks Suzanne for your beautiful words.
