There is a Passion
Within our Souls
That has transcended
All the negativity of our life
The people, experiences, events
That have both contributed to the passion

To the momentary loss of self
Of connection with our Soul
When Life numbs us
Beyond Remembering
Our Soul cries out for hope
To feel
To Be
To Know
We do Know
It is the Remembering
That becomes difficult at times
Until in the darkness
A flicker of Light
That is our true self
Ignites
And we are again
Living
Thankful for those
Who challenged the flame
And those
Who nurtured it
That the Passion may continue
