The first one I ever wrote just because I wanted to write a poem... would have been about 7th or 8th grade

What was it like?
I shall soon know.
It may be a while,
But I will have to go.

I wanted to meet you all,
But I had no chance to.
And many more will fall before my chance to meet them.

Do you think, maybe, before you go,
That I might ever get the chance
Just to say “Hello”?

To all those who have gone before
That I wanted to meet
But know that I shall never greet
I bid you all a fond and final Farewell!
