Cultivation of the good
And beautiful is the afterglow
Of pristine vigor and glory.
Beauty, though it alone, may finally
Redeem and make life bearable
In its starkest formulation.
On the other hand, it is no more
Than a gorgeous leech upon life’s body
With a sexy stature, style, and decisiveness.
When a man has all these to an extent
That surpasses others, they'll bring him trouble.
This terrible truth must never be neglected.
