You seemed a dream
An apparition from times ago
But my stare penetrated
The disguise time bestowed
On my memory of you
And as eyes gazed back across
The distance time
Had placed between us
I felt a simple thought
My heart seems to be
A file cabinet
And one drawer will always
Have your name upon it
