I wonder how many people have chronicled the first date they had with the person who eventually became his or her spouse? I did and this was the result. This was written in 1980 and we have been together ever since. You can tell it is a Florida setting. Check out the double entendres also.

Palmate leaves
Of
Palm trees
Palmettos
Glistening
In beach breeze tossed
Night
Reflected
The half moon's
Glowing light
Twinkling
To our upturned eyes
Then hand in hand
We studied
Footprints
In the sand

Dazzled
By this night we shared
I was sure you cared
We rambled
As I walked you home
Who knows the future
Who cares
We touched lips
And parted
But not before making sure
Of our plans
With each other
For tomorrow
