To Kiss a Butterfly

Falling in love is heady stuff. More than one of us has found ourselves "walking on clouds" after falling in love.

TO KISS A BUTTERFLY

In my dream world
Floating
As with pillow-like clouds
I drifted
Among sky creatures
And was part of
Gentle winds

In this world
Of no impossibility
I found myself
Companion
To the magnificence
Of a delicate winged
Butterfly

We cavorted
I drifted behind
Her fluttering path
As we looped among
Wafting clouds
Ecstatically

It took our breath
Away
To share the sweet harmony
Of our weightless
Choreography
Upward
We spiraled past the sky
Until the universe
Was our realm
And our metamorphosis
Was that
Of angels
