I walked with Faust’s devil; and saw pleasures, of life’s primrose path!

Iambic, and Anapaestic Couplets, in the style, of an Alexandrine Sonnet.

Nowadays, the Scots generally take a somewhat pragmatic view of the Devil, treating their incorporeal entity to a more kindly bon ton than other countries, which have adopted the Christian ethos.
Even the redoubtable holy willies are not averse to stepping out in a similar fashion, when the occasion suits them.

I, traversed, with portentous thoughts; Mephisto set free;
To, hear, daemon’s comate, welcome, his dark company.
Enjoyment, it portrayed, gave no denotation of pain,
Where, day’s proposition; sensed now proof of its gain.

Where women read grimoire with joie de vivre as a task:
Apprised enactment came there easy if one perceived whom to ask.
With their nights fulfilled with such heaving distress,
Cries, told of their own pleasures, they would so profess.

Belphegor knew, which arts fusions, they’d wish him play,
and, beat out truths cadence, in lusts of haemic copulae.
He trolled in softer words, analogous goliards do sing.
Those, nuptials of night; delectations live; vitalities bring.

I, therefore, went with Diablo and fell ne’er from his grace.
And, saw those whose neoteric passions, were endued in embrace.

Mor.

I see that others have interpreted your poem better than I. I sense some dire consequences for the mere carnal act that can be pleasurable for both man and woman unless the devil or money is involved.

Pleasure is such a heady gift. Whom the devil would have, he first must gain their trust. Would you reject your lover? Drive her away amid passions embrace? Great writing here Mor. Passion and evil never seemed so nice. Bob
