Armchair advice

'I just love the kitchen's aspect

Looking out to lawn so green

But polished marble tops

Are a nightmare to keep clean'

'That extra bedroom would be useful

And a study is a must

But, the old oak floorboards

Would let in a lot of dust'

'I don't think, if I were you,

This purchase I would make

And if you look more closely

That 'original feature' is a fake'

'Yes, the countryside is beautiful

But, think about the snow'

'This property could be ideal

But you really need to know

There is possible permission

For a ring road over there

The trees will probably hide it

And some people wouldn't care'

'The river has been known to rise

But, never quite to here

I would walk away, right now

Before you shed a tear'

I'm a very good adviser

To those searching where to live

I share my common sense

Helpful comments to them give

They take no notice, as

My voice they do not hear

While watching TV programmes

I travel far and near

See people, houses, lifestyles

Some decisions make me shout

'Don't do that, you'll regret it

Once you sign, you can't get out'
