Today I wished

To break the rusty anchor chain

And drive the gray twilight road

That leads out off this dusty town

Meandering like a snake,

Then running straight

Beyond frontiers and foggy coastlines

To a mysterious land where

I don’t exist

Right with you on this also Franz. Your poem mirrors my feelings at times when the burden gets heavy. My neighbors are a pain at times. Got to do a lot of kissing up or else. I go the more understanding caring route. It hurts but not as bad as being mean and stupid like some of the fools. Anyway from me being this way my neighbors started acting better. Life is a little better in the neighborhood now. Of course I get out every chance I get, especially on the weekend. Mother nature soothes my soul. G

Well, Franz, you may not exist there . . .

"yet." There's a lot of road to be paved with your experiences. So, give 'em a double coating with curb appeal :-)

This is so beautiful in it's simplicity. Although it's not simple at all. That longing to "get outta town" goes very deep in all of us. Extremely well written.

This one sounds like a superb tribute to all the manic-depressives of the world. At least it hit ME that way; especially the last line.
I have missed your poems of late, and was happy to see your name on the list this morning, when I took some time out to go 'Denning.'

I hear you, franz, loud and clear. Kudos to you!
