Your poetry is light and pleasant like the smell of lilac in the air. I have read a couple of your other poems "Bikini Monday" and "Its a Jungle in There" and they too gave me pleasure.
I will come back when I have the opportunity to enjoy myself again. I look forward to reading more.
A further collection of poems, many from years in the Middle East, but also the California San Francisco and Central Coast areas (Santa Cruz, Carmel, Big Sur, Berkeley, etc.).
Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
Robin Ouzman Hislop's poetry is certainly in dialogue with some of the key architects of the 'poetics of indeterminacy' – both the Modernist strands represented by the likes of Beckett and Stein, and the postmodernist strands represented, initially,
