A tree of light,
a tree of spark.
Light, then sound,
paints the dark.
A beautiful work of
nature’s touch.
The power to grasp,
a bit too much.
The other side
of this beauty's burst
lightning's force
stabs at the earth
can stop a life
or start fires anew,
as rain surrounds
the horizon's view.
But writers can have
a similar spark
a lightning thought
light's up their dark.
The words appear
with a muses touch
the literary challenge,
not too much.
The other side
of this writer’s lament
the struggle for words
to help cement
the meaning behind
the story to tell
sometimes lost
from a thought that fell.

Lightning
A tree of light, a tree of spark.
Light, then sound, paints the dark.
A beautiful work of natures touch.
the power to grasp, a bit too much.
The other side of this beauty's burst
lightning's force stabs at the earth
can stop a life or start fires anew

But Special People create a similar spark
a lightning thought light's up our dark
the words appear with a muses touch
their motivation and challenge a bit too much.
Something just slipped under my door
I hasten to pick up the thunder on floor
I rush to check who’s at the door,
The lightning Just Struck - but beneath the door!!
Loss of words is as evident here
Pangs of yet another strike, not quite, I am clear
It struck me well in the past, time and again
Alas! I realized strike it will, never ever again!!
Sad should we be, I milled
“All Good things must end “- as it is willed
But happy I should be, I am thrilled
Coz she’s my model (to emulate)-at least that’s settled!!
“Do your best; the lord takes care of the rest!” she silently said
“This all I ask for and there is nothing that I shall want” –she finally said
While her will prevails , it’s the wish that entrails
So here we are to say -“You inspiration will always be there to stay”
