This poem expresses a mystic understanding of friendship.
The message
captured on the plains---
drum beats infuse me,
call my name---
longing whispers
scamper in and out
doubling when the moon
is out and why?
It's an ethereal thing
only understood
by the fairies
and
friends
making friends
to enfold.
Your verses "speak" to my soul so easily, it is as though you know me well. I have a poem here (many others along your theme in this one) titled, "Yearnings." I'm not sure if you have read it. Your words here so reminded me of the vision that inspired that poem. Thank you for sharing, Thomasena. Love and best wishes,
The drug called "The Shari" has been used for vision quests over many years. But, when all the rivers start drying up, the tribe must send a young hunter named Tomás on a much more important trip through the Amazon.
