For Joseph…

Poem Artwork

Yes, here…

Yes, here, like a much traveled stream cascading into a pond, time stops, dumbfounded at the reflection of its own ageless beauty, rising, unlimited and pure, from shed bindings of inflexible contours. Then, it finds us as we find it, similarly nude and only just emerged - as pristine and as limitless as a newly erupted source. And then, we flow.

Elements, here, are entities in harmony, interlacing attributes and sense, and yet retaining their unrestrained uniqueness – and the unfathomable, the complex, blend with the clear and the simple, until all becomes one inherent, perceptive wholeness.

I did not bring you here, anymore than you brought me to this somewhere at the end and at the beginning of no charted course or path. We came… we happened here, step by step of discernible desires falling into cadence, to then ascend and ensue, at the pace of one sole breath, beyond dream.

Yet, here, dream is neither exhausted nor does it consume reality. Both coexist, in a bond of mutual completeness that renders them… yes, unbound and infinitely more beautiful.

All is surprising, here, and yet, each surprise inhaled, exhales and enfolds us in a balmy, welcoming air of home, as if, in every discovery, we were revisiting a profoundly intimate yet immeasurable universe.

Yes, here, where we live… aware yet flowing, like time, unique and yet in harmony, in inherent wholeness, like the elements, completed yet unbound, like reality and dream.

Yes, here, in this mergence of lips, where each breath of ultimate recognition is a gasp of first enchantment… yes, because we love.

Dear friends,

After this weekend, Joseph and I will be away for a few days, visiting loved ones. We’ll be looking forward to returning to your company, and, in the meantime, wish you all the very best that life, in that mergence with dream that renders both complete yet unbound, has to offer, with love and many warm {{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}.

Xuxa,

Your words are multi-coloured threads that are weaved, gently, into my heart and soul. This poem quenches my thirst for a love thought to only be possible within dreams. Thank You for this poem and Thank You for loving me as I've never been loved before. This life with you is like walking hand-in-hand through paradise.

"We flow in perceptive wholeness at the pace of one sole breath, beyond dream, yes, unbound and infinitely more beautiful, revisiting a profoundly intimate yet immeasurable universe like reality and dream, yes, because we love."

Amo te muito,
Teu Joseph

Like "...discernible desires falling into cadence..." and the peaceful description of feelings so deep inside that the reader needs to use imagination and curiosity to reach where "...dream neither is exausted nor does it consume reality..."
Love, said with words that only lovers can understand.

As ageless an expression of love as the classics. Truly a blessing.

"Yet, here, dream is neither exhausted nor does it consume reality." This concept/reality is splendiferous Alexandra. Your heart is a deep pure river that continually nourishes the soul. Blessings to you ...

You express the inexpressible soul-bonds between true lovers, Alexandra, in the most tangible, sensitive and sensual way. The imagery and metaphor is divine. What I love is the on-going sense of inevitability about this one-off relationship: inevitability that is the most wonderful and creative that is possibly imaginable for the couple concerned:

"I did not bring you here, anymore than you brought me to this somewhere at the end and at the beginning of no charted course or path." ... Says it all. Bless you and thank you. K xx

Marvelously penned, Alexandra, and I love that graphic.
