Stepping back to look inside at my cheyenne ancestry. Fire in his spirit is my dream guide......I hope you enjoy dedicated to my dear friend, Mary Broadstone with love.

Fire in his spirit I see you standing there looking back upon another day to the fields where the buffalo grazed to the wallows where they lay To the village where family and children lived and played I see the sun glancing off your hair long and flowing the sheen of a ravens wings Your bow and arrow slung across shoulders kissed by Father Sun as you take off in a sprint then an all out run Fire in his spirit Yes, I see you there sorrow in your eyes mark's of death upon your arms and chest Its all gone now Mother moon no longer shines upon your lodge as you rest Father sun no longer bathes your body at break of day Fire in his spirit I see you kneeling there head threw back arms extended outstretched in supplication and prayer to the four winds I hear your prayer "please brothers carry me there" To a place where we again see this proud people again free You look For all that was wishing again you could enter there Fire in his spirit I see you standing there all alone flute in hand such a sorrowful melody unfolds drifting across the land across the ears that hear no more Fire in his spirit it draws me still come to me hush my spirit be still Fire in his spirit come for me sing to me Hush I listen still �2006 Tina Clark

I can hear this being recited to the background of the indian drum in a circle around a fire, it is spirited and spirit inspired.
