My pillow drenched with tears
Tossing and turning in bed
Tangled in the sheets
There will be no sleep tonight
Sick at heart over yet another
911 anniversary. I must remember
The day, for to forget it is like
Relinquishing a piece of American history
I fear our beloved America
Cannot survive another such
Day of terror upon our country
Memories of smoke filled clouds
Sections of the Twin Tower's blown away
Pandemonium in the streets
As I watched the news through
Tear stained eyes and choked throat
Surely, I must be looking at some other
War torn country. I mourn the dead
As they lay under the blood soaked rubble
Having died a sudden, horrific death.
Please, God hear my prayers
Let our country return to it's former days
Of peace, contentment and
"Happy Days" once again
In your all consuming love for your people
I pray that you will drive the evil ones away.

*Joy* I felt your pain from Your Big Heart as I
read your poem with prayers to return peace and
happiness filled with honor and sympathy for
those lives lost...with respect returning to our
country and fellow man once again....
Lady Vivian
A prayer and a voice of courage you have conveyed so well.
Always to remember those people the bell tolls each name
on this 11th anniversary.
God bless

As a people we can heal our wounds.
We need to pray to be "one Nation Under God" again.
Then united nothing could touch us but a nation divided cannot stand.
Our future is in God's hands but we just need to bow down and look up.
Amen
Peace, love and the joy of Jesus Christ be with you,
