Black is beauty
Can it never be?
Some men to one would never care
And tears then run with mirror’s stare
Black, Black Beauty
How could this ever be?
The girls, they’re white with silky glare
Then one asked mom, “Why’s life unfair?”
“Oh, Black Beauty
Why, Oh why it falls to me?
A curse or a gift, what’s it to me?
I hope and wish that they could see”
Black is beauty
Can’t it always be?
Someone to one perhaps may care
It’s all because her beauty is rare
“True beauty
Can’t it be black like me?”
Well glide swiftly and discover faithfully
It’s a real beauty that never fadeths suddenly
