A Sinner's Plea
O Christian man, woman, boy and girl, I long to hear your salvation story.
To learn about God's love, His goodness, and His glory.
Please tell me how can I ever grow
If I am constantly pushed aside, tossed to and fro.
Seasoned saint why won't you talk to me
Why do you leave me alone
Instead of praying and leading me to the throne.
You say that you care that I am lost and on my way to hell
But based on your actions it's really hard to tell.
Will you embrace me and show me the way
Or will you put it off for just one more day.
Searching for answers because I have no peace inside
Please don't pass me by and push me aside
Because I look to you as my spiritual guide.
There is a choice that I must make
Will I go to heaven or will I burn in the lake?
I want to be taught so I can understand
How to change my ways and live as a righteous man.
If only you lived what you taught and preached
My soul and so many others could be reached.
I am waiting on you to tell me the story of how Jesus died on the cross for me.
How on the third day he rose, so I could be free.
I want to be ready when he comes back again.
Living holy and freely forgiven of my sin.
I know it's up to me where I spend eternity.
But I need you lead and guide me so I can make heaven my destiny.
This is a sinner's plea.
