Your eyes are closing now Mere slits in the soul As if the eyes were anew Like a sleepy newborn babe But I see the end is near The soul is gaping and tired With holes from abuse And years of discontent Unsettled soul Cannot love but one And even thousands are not enough To quell the tormented soul I await to help close the wound But I am not seen I am used But the souls touch nonetheless
