What a person may feel like as they get older.

I now have been forgotten,
And left out in the cold,
Maybe because I’m ugly,
Maybe because I’m old.

All my friends have passed on,
Along with my husband too.
I feel like an old lady,
With nothing better to do.

As I grow old and lonely,
What is there for me now?
I have no one to love me,
Upon my furrowed brow.

Life has thrown me sorrows,
But many good things as well,
No clue what is coming next,
As only time can tell.
