Cool, Calm and Collected

A couplet poem about pleasant speech and how to battle the demons.

The evil darts come in various form;

no reason though to become forlorn.

This world can never give you peace;

but from above, a total release.

When you abide in the truth, unpolluted;

you can remain cool, calm and collected.

The wise person always has the power;

just learn the secret, never to cower.

When caustic and cavalier words come your way;

ponder first what to say, avoid the doomsday.

Sometimes a word need not even be spoken;

keep the eye contact, you're more than a saleman.

When the demons encounter a modest person;

they turn to dust, now fearing an omen.

Always carry with you the sword of the Spirit;

your pleasant speech, never to be degenerate.

The evil darts come in various form;

just be prudent, never to conform.

Wisdom, yes, she'll protect and preserve you;

cool, calm and collected, it'll be your due.

As long as we can say "Lord have mercy," we're okay!

Excellent poetic advice. I was attacked yesterday and without strong prayer and using Bible background knowledge it would have been bloody. I got a few minor cuts but no deep wounds. Thank you Jesus! Thank you Holy Spirit! I get to live confidently and stand ready for battle once again! Amen!
