The Channels of Time

A poem of introspection

As I travel down the channels of time;

there's not one iota that I could change.

I see harmony, life is full of rhyme;

everything is clear, nothing appears strange.

 

I am a sojourner with you on this earth;

there's more to life for us than meets the eye.

Do you see it, the celestial with solemn mirth;

the magi saw it, their spirit called to occupy.

 

Sometimes it's music that helps us understand;

other times it's tears that bring us needed relief.

Sooner or later we see that all was planned;

simplicity of life brings that meaningful motif.

 

As I travel down the channels of time;

there's not one iota that I could change.

We must persevere as we make that climb;

satisfied with our lot we receive the blessed exchange.
