Your tender head resting on my shoulder, your eyes filled with tears
And suggestions of other worlds and demons dropped
Like tiny powder kegs of fear and loathing
I'm resting sure that under it all you sense the wonder
How terrible is the Lord and Hosts
Our souls so fine and rare a thing that massive war
Is waged to secure Its rights
Tremble; we cry, quake; we open our eyes
To look with outstanding astonishment for help and succor
While mighty forces abound and whirl about
Taking stands above our heads and in our hearts
What are we in the face of this?
How can anything be won by us?
What shield or sword will come tonight?
What light or wisdom tommorow?
See his majesty and gold held here
In my medallion a flicker to hope resides
Strong assistance and turning tides
That make the weakest strong
Reminder true humans matter still
Parting from the lost and gone
Til one might feel the wind set raging
Crested on love and love
United all that winged fury pushing
Them away, our help has come and stays
If vision stirred becomes steadfast and true
Looking up and up into the face of God
Your tender head resting on my shoulder, your eyes filled with tears
And suggestions of other worlds and angels uplifted
Like two-ton bombs of power and glory
