When trouble stays away from you
Everything is all right;
Distant songs play around your head,
Feel like flying a kite.
But when the sound of trouble comes,
Follows you everywhere;
In your head it screams and stays,
You say a silent prayer.
Life has been good up until now,
Its time to pay what's due;
You can't go back the way you've been,
The games you played are through.
The grim one comes to pay a call,
He's here to collect rent;
You played and played and now it's done,
Its time for your descent.
Why wonder of the price you pay,
Set your mind right and look;
You can't go back, impossible,
Your name is in the book.
There's no time to bargain and plea,
Stand; take it like a man;
Before another sun has shone,
You'll be gone, that's the plan.

paying the price for things than can't be undone.
But redemption, forgiveness, and Karma also insist
the we do a little better--next time around.
