I said, How are you?
You said, Why do you hate me?
Misunderstanding.

Us men will probably never understand the mechanisms of the female mind. Theirs shall remain a mystery to us.

There was a best-selling book, Women Are from Venus, Men Are from Mars. Your poem illustrates that perfectly. It is amazing how many times I have offered a friendly greeting to a woman only to get a retort like that. Perhaps we have to improve our body language. Stop staring at the wrong part of a woman's body when we talk to them ;-).

This little poem is funny but sad. My kids and grand kids go for months without talking to us. It drives us crazy. We think, is it something we done? Why don't they write or just pick up the phone. We call them and they don't return the calls. Then along comes a birthday and they come out of hibernation. All at once, all of our misunderstandings and doubts just fade away. That is, until the next period of silence... Well done, my friend.

Might be best to keep your queries to yourself even though they are, in general, quite benign...-e- :)

Simple and to the point. It's amazing how quickly a misunderstanding can erupt.

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
