Midday is as black as midnight, Silence so loud it hurts your ears. Do not ask your maker for light, Dark and quiet comes from your jeer. Leave your gods and deities be, Beg not for a godly way out. You are the cause of this, you know, Each man his prison brings about. If it is paradise you seek, Try living your life so it fits. Now that's a lesson if I have read one! I think you've nailed how to live in one short poem. Let us hope that no one ever has to face the reality of the first stanza. But I believe, many already have when they went to their death without the promises they were told.
