Turbulent clouds fly over Iraq,
As the people are confused,
Bewildered, Desperate for security,
Not knowing what may happen next,
Too much blood has been shed,
Every individual has tasted grief,
Buried someone in the family,
As graveyards fill up every day,
Outnumbering the living,
As the living may be called dead,
Years of torment passed under Saddam,
And now foreign troops on their land,
As families are shot by casualty,
And orphans are weeping everywhere,
Others have dried up tears forever,
Where is the promise of freedom?
Where is the sovereignty of Iraq?
A land once rich,
For an Islamic education,
The greatest scholars resided there,
Pupils sought Baghdad,
Being the heart of a rich culture,
And people once lived peacefully,
We wait in hope,
For the return of those days,
Quickly and peacefully,
When Different ethnic groups,
Different religous sects,
And Different world views,
Ought not to be an excuse,
For the prevention of the rebuilding,
Of a historic nation.

Point taken. A peaceful nation with a purpose is what everyone should be praying and working for. Best wishes.
