Days of youth are missed,
When skins were soft,
Smooth and supple,
As laughter and giggles,
Broke out Quite frequently,
And smiles were used always,
When happiness and joy,
Lived in the hearts of merry kids,
Who played on streets with other kids,
Among the safety of neighborhoods,
Friendship and family were valuable,
Health and normality are now sought,
In the post-modernity,
Of an ever-changing,
Ever-evolving,
Ever-developing age,
Where nothing seems extraordinary,
As different signs, Messages,
And Symbols bombard us,
The average citizen,
Through a little box,
That dominates,
And rules our lives,
Quite indirectly.

Good poem. I think it could flow a little better, maybe you could edit it a little more. But overall a great poetic piece. Not to mention very true! :)
Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
This collection of poetry addresses the nature of time, reflections on the natural world, the difficulty of loss,
contemporary social issues and gratitude for life.
