I met a woman today,
Who seemed like superwoman,
Caring for three young ones,
As two were already left at home,
With their dad to care for them,
As she struggled to hold,
Feed and protect all,
Still smiling and relaxed,
As she enjoyed a cup of tea,
Her kids were normal and happy,
With old friends from the past,
All around, I felt awed,
A mother of five was she,
Still breathing, Still alive,
She was educated with a degree,
I wondered what was wrong with me?
As I sometimes yell at my kids,
Quite few and only two,
Who make me tear my hair,
In mad frenzy, For perfection,
As I fuss and stress myself always,
To be a better mum and always tire,
Relentlessly, At times,
Giving up and feeling helpless,
I treasure their smiles and hugs,
More than millions may ever buy,
They are the best joys in life,
As I only make- futile worry.
