It was a sobering experience to have a heart attack. It has taken me time to finally write this about how I felt and what I went through. Hope you enjoy it.

The python squeezing my chest
The flamenco dancer stomping
In time with each strained breath
Life and light now slowly ebbing

Loved ones gathered all around me
Angels hovering over my sick bed
My life in the hands of my Deity
I have no fears about what’s ahead

Death is not the end but a genesis
What’s ahead for me I can’t say
If I die it is the people I will miss
Pray for strength, not that I stay

If I live or if I die it is in His hands
For He guides the healing of Galen
Whatever happens is in His plans
So rejoice, be uplifted not sullen

Know that I will be with you
And you are always in my heart
Now and when this life is through
So do not grieve if I do depart

Sounds like quite a painful, powerful, emotional, and spiritual experience, and glad to hear you've recovered.

Say Something Terrorible v3 by RickthePoetWarrior

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
