Legend of The Outback

A poem a man who still lives a life of adventure. A man anyone would be proud to call friend. The poem has some common Australia slang in it since he is Australia, but his fame has spread to the four corners of the Earth. The man's name is Nicholas "Nick" LeSouef, an extraordinary man.

There is a man from Australia
Who once toiled in academia
but he dreamed of rainbows
Out where the goanna grows

He followed his opal dreams
Searching the nobbie seams
From the Ridge to the Alice
With the shed as his palace

He loves the flora and fauna
And is used to hard yakka
From being in the deep pits
Searching for rainbow bits

His time at the family zoo
Enhanced his naturalist’s view
Then twas back to licking rocks
And his life in the boondocks

Whether living with snakes
Searching for fiery flakes
Tempting a box of red backs
Or polishing up the blacks

Pedro is always fair dinkum
It’s quite a legend he’s become
But he’s not the type to skite
Keith does that on Monday night

You Look FatCalgary by RickthePoetWarrior

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
